lineage brewingLineage Brewing Company received their brewers license this week, making Clintonville just a few short week of brewing away from getting its first brewery.

License in-hand, Lineage has begun the brewing process, with a cream ale up first. They’re also planning to brew a couple hoppy beers, a malty english ale, and a darker offering. Recipes are still being tweaked and finalized.

The taproom will only serve Lineage brews — no guest drafts — but will also feature signature cocktails, wine and Rambling House soda pop. The taproom will also serve hand pies, “savory, meat and veggie filled pies that fit in one hand so your beer can sit in the other.

Initially, Lineage brews will only be offered at the taproom, with keg distribution coming later and packaging a possibility way down the line.

Lineage was founded by Clintonville residents Carey Hall, Jessica Page, Mike Byrne and Jessica Byrne. Mike was the head brewer at Buckeye Lake Brewery before leaving to focus on his own brewery.

Lineage Brewing will be open by April, though a definitive date has not yet been set. Lineage is located at 2971 N. High Street.
