It seems as if there is a National {insert noun here} Holiday about, well, every day. As long as those days are giving us more reason to imbibe our favorite alcoholic drinks, we’re on board to celebrate. National IPA Day is this Thursday, August 6. IPA Day was founded in 2011 to bring craft beer enthusiasts together to celebrate and share the love of craft beer. This Thursday, a number of local breweries and bars are hosting IPA-centered tap takeovers.
Smokehouse Brewing is hosting HOP-IPA-LOOZA to celebrate with ten IPA’s on tap including their own Chill Sesh and ZIPA. They’ll be featuring an IPA float with house-made Scottish Ale ice cream. Information
Zauber Brewing will be serving up items of their Berzerker Belgian IPA for $6 all night, plus tapping a small batch of a wet hoped German extra pale ale dubbed Harvest Kolsch. Information
Wolf’s Ridge Brewing will have their Driftwood session IPA, Earthrise IPA, Howling Moon Imperial IPA and New Moon Black IPA on draft as well as the Driftwood Citrus Surf, Basil & Thai Chili Earthrise, Peach Earthrise and a cask of Habanero Howling Moon.
St. James Tavern is featuring a tap takeover with ten different styles of IPAs including at least three local options like the Syzygy couple IPA from Seventh Son Brewery. Information
Four String Brewing has four different IPAs on tap including Infinite Lives double IPA, the latest of their Solo Series, Skeleton red rye IPA, Switchblade American IPA and Big Star Belgian white IPA.
North High will be releasing a wet hopped IPA brewed with Ohio grown Cascade hops.
