Stone Brewing’s Greg Koch coming to Columbus

Stone Brewing decided not to come to Columbus last year when they were searching for a home for their east coast brewing operation, but this month Stone’s Greg Koch, a Pataskala native, will be coming to Columbus.

The CEO and co-founder of Stone Brewing Co will be in the area later this month to mark the release of Stone Pataskala Red IPA, made with Mosaic, Cascade and Amarillo hops and clocking in at 6.2% ABV and 70 IBUs.

After receiving a letter back in May from Ally Jeffers, a freshman at Watkins Memorial High School, Koch promised to brew a special edition beer for Pataskala if voters approved Southwest Licking Local Schools’ emergency operating levy. It passed. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition beer will be given to a fund that supports programs affected by the passage of the levy.
