Hoof Hearted Brewing is a non-stop expanding machine lately. They opened a taproom back in July, they started canning in June and they’re working on a downtown brewpub. Now, they’re expanding again: to Maine.
Vacationland Distributors announced today that they will begin carrying Hoof Hearted’s products in the state of Maine.
According to a statement from the distributor, Vacationland’s Business Development Manager John Squadrito was the person who sold Hoof Hearted their brewhouse and fermenters.
“John and Jarrod Bichon [from Hoof Hearted] stayed in touch after he joined Vacationland, and I had been following the beers they were bringing to Maine,” said Hoof Hearted owner Trevor Williams in the distributor’s statement. “Then I believe John had a creepy dream about selling our beer, and the rest is history.”
Hoof Hearted cans will make their Maine debut at 5:30pm on Thursday, October 22nd at Portland’s Bier Cellar on Forest Avenue. Hoof Hearted Brewing’s draft products will launch during Portland Beer Week at a Hoof Hearted Brewing tap takeover at 5pm on Friday, November 6th at Nosh Kitchen Bar in Portland. Prior to this Maine expansion, Hoof Hearted wass currently only available in Ohio – and not even statewide.
“To call it an expansion is a bit of a stretch,” said Williams. “We’ll be sending them a lil something here & there but by far the lions share will be kept in Ohio. We’re looking at it as a cool experiment for us and a great excuse to visit Maine semi-regularly.”
Vacationland distributes a small selection of other craft beer in Maine, including Blue Hills Brewery (MA), Element Brewing Company (MA) and Horny Goat Brewing (WI).
