Helm’s Brewing starting distribution to Ohio

Helms BrewingSan Diego’s Helm’s Brewing Company is bringing their award winning craft beer to the Buckeye State.

The brewery is sending 22-ounce bottles and kegs of the following brews to the Ohio market starting this week:

  • Captain’s Pale Ale — Pale Ale, ABV: 6.0% IBU: 35
  • Batten Down Brown — Brown Ale, ABV: 5.8% IBU: 25
  • Wicked as Sin IPA — Rye India Pale Ale, ABV: 6.6% IBU: 66
  • Beeruccino — Porter, ABV: 7.3% IBU: 31
  • Hop the RIPA — Red India Pale Ale, ABV: 7.2% IBU: 93

  • Both Hop the RIPA and Beeruccino won bronze medals at the 2014 Denver International Beer Competition. Additional seasonal offerings from Helm’s such as Samuin Harvest Pumpkin Ale, Chocolate Night Stout, En Garde and O.G Wheat will be available in the future.

    “The midwest has been on our radar for sometime now and we are about to launch in other markets such as Chicago, Texas, Maryland, Washington D.C, Virginia and the Carolinas,” said Matt Johnson, General Manager at Helm’s Brewing Company. We believe the midwest is beginning to become a craft beer state and we want to be on the forefront of that.”

    Helm’s will be distributed by Tramonte Distributing Company based out of Akron. Ohio is the third state outside of California into which Helm’s Brewing has expanded.
