Wolf's Ridge Brewing Halloween Party

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing

Arguably one of the worst parts of growing up is loosing the ability to trick-or-treat – and while I am normally one for pushing the envelope, I think once you reach the legal drinking age it’s best to just accept the social norm here. It’s not worth it. Rather than begging for candy on your neighbors doorstep, you can buy your own candy and eat it while drinking beer. Better yet, throw the candy in your purse/pocket and head on out to one of these local breweries:

The Actual Brewing Company is hosting a costume contest at their taproom on Friday at 5pm. Enjoy a beer while showing off your costume to win concert tickets, limited edition posters and beer swag. The brewery is tapping a mystery firing and the food truck Seconds by Jane Elaine will be serving Sloppy Joes. According to the Facebook event, you get extra credit for science costumes and there is a $5 cover “for dweebs in regular clothes.”

Staas Brewing is tapping a Bourbon English Imperial Stout on Thursday at 4pm and an Imperial Pumpkin Ale to be tapped at 3pm Saturday afternoon.

Buckeye Lake Brewery is hosting a Halloween party Saturday that features their Spicy Chocolate Stout and Freaky Tree Pumpkin Chocolate on tap, alcoholic apple cider punch, a costume contest at 8pm and food from the Por’Ketta food truck from 5-10pm. RSVP/Details

Four String Brewing is throwing a spooky birthday party this Saturday from noon-11pm. The brewery will tap over 40+ of their own beers including an Imperial Stout with Brettanomyces Lambicus, an Imperial Stout with cinnamon, chiles, cacao nibs and Tahitian vanilla beans and more. Guests can also pick up a limited bottle release of their Imperial Stout and OYO Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. The brewery will host a costume competition at 7pm and live music starting at 7:30pm. RSVP/Details

Lineage Brewing is celebrating Halloween with a special, discounted Fall menu, retro horror films and trick or treating. The fall menu includes specialty cocktails, a Pumpkin beer and American Style Bitter, and hand pies such as The Harvester Squash Pie. Trick or treating, for adults and kids, will take place from 2-10pm and movies will show all evening starting at 8pm. RSVP/Details

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing’s Halloween Party features some classic Halloween flicks and all day happy hour. Costumes are welcome but not required for this laid back event. RSVP/Details
