We’re gonna have a good time

Apparently it’s just about every local brewery’s birthday, which definitely means a good time for Columbus craft beer fans! Four local breweries will commemorate anniversaries this month with on-site celebrations.

Homestead Third Anniversary

Saturday, January 16, 12pm-10pm
Homestead’s party will center around a brew day where attendees can come into the brewhouse to watch and learn about the brewing process. They will be releasing a special anniversary beer called Drie, a Belgian-based Triple IPA, plus special firkins of Thorpenny (Tenpenny ale with hops grown by a Homestead regular named “Thor” — seriously) and And One DJ, their 3 MC’s Imperial IPA with added mango and grapefruit puree. Homestead will also have limited edition merchandise available, and the Aromaku food truck will be on-site.

Sideswipe Two-Year Anniversary

Saturday, January 23, 2pm-10pm
Sideswipe is commemorating two years with three new beers: an imperial stout, a variant of the imperial stout with locally roasted coffee, and another variant that has been barrel-aged. Sideswipe’s event will also feature food trucks and nine different Sideswipe beers on tap.

Wolf’s Ridge Taproom Anniversary

Saturday, January 23, 10am-12am
Wolf’s Ridge is celebrating the one-year anniversary of their taproom with a special bottle release of four beers: Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout, aged in Watershed bourbon barrels; Rum Barrel Imperial Stout, aged in Carribbean rum barrels; Rum Line, a combination of coffee stout and the rum stout; and Bourbon Barrel Canis Mexicanus, aged in Watershed bourbon barrels with coffee beans, cinnamon, chilis, cacao nibs and vanilla beans. The bottle release kicks off at 10am with snacks and coffee for attendees. Wolf’s Ridge will also feature live music and special cask tappings later in the evening.

Zauber Two Year Taproom Anniversary

Saturday, January 23, 4pm-10pm
In honor of two years at their taproom, Zauber will be offering hourly rotating beer specials, free brewery tours, prize giveaways and live entertainment from The Winnie Cooper Project. They will also debut a new specialty release, an imperial version of our beloved Berzerker Belgian-style IPA.
