Short’s isn’t coming to Ohio… yet

green wellShort’s Brewing Company, the Michigan brewery boasting “Michigan only, Michigan forever” and distributing their in-demand beers only in Michigan, announced yesterday that they intended to start distributing outside the state, leading many Columbus beer aficionados speculating that Ohio may be first in line to get an out-of-state shipment.

Well, Short’s isn’t distributing to Ohio, at least not yet.

“We are currently looking to begin out-of-state distribution in Eastern Pennsylvania and the Chicago area,” said Emily Sullivan, Marketing Communications Associate for the brewery. “We’ll be exploring further distribution and announcing more in the coming weeks and months.”

We’ll check back with Short’s in a couple months to see if their plans have changed. In the meantime, posting lots of “come to Ohio!” messages on the brewery’s Facebook page can’t hurt the cause, right?
