Land-Grant Brewing Company is glorifying the Columbus Crew with Glory American Wheat Ale.
The brewery hosted two rounds of customer voting late last year in order to determine what style of beer to brew to honor the Crew, settling on a hoppy American Wheat Ale brewed with Citra hops.
“It makes for a great beer to drink outside, whether in the stadium or the parking lot,” brewery owner Walt Keys told us last year.
Both the cans and tap handle for Glory boast the Columbus Crew’s signature yellow and black colors, and the cans even include the Columbus Crew season schedule.
Land-Grant packaged a limited run of Glory cans last year for the end of Crew season, but the first full run of cans will hit the Columbus market on Monday. The beer will also be available Sunday at Land-Grant’s taproom during the official watch party for the Crew season opener.
