Local St. Patrick's Beer

Pints of neon green beer are fun, but local flavor is always better. This year, celebrate the luck of the Irish with drinks of the locals with these local red ales and stouts.

Buckeye Lake’s Hennosy’s Irish Red and oatmeal stout are perfectly festive choices to ring in the holiday. Restoration Brew Worx combines two of life’s greatest loves, beer and chocolate, into one with their limited edition Mint Chocolate Stout. Pigskin will have their extra smooth “Fighting” Irish Stout on nitro, and Temperance Row Brewing will have their Macedonian Imperial Stout. Ill Mannered Brewing’s Nice Vice Breakfast Stout on tap and Lineage’s Loughran’s Irish Stout, with coffee and toasted malt notes, are perfect choices as well. Lineage also has an Irish Red Ale, Rory’s Rayge. North High Brewing has an Imperial red ale on tap, Homestead Beer Company has got Five Points Irish Red Ale and Smokehouse Brewing has Red Molly ale, all fit for the occasion. Staas will be tapping their Irish red ale on Saturday, and Actual Brewing will have extremely limited bottles of Bourbon Barrel Aged Resistor Irish Red Ale available starting on the 17th.

So if you’re not wearing green and you’re drinking a local craft beer this St. Patrick’s Day, you totally deserve to be pinched.
