The Drink Up Columbus Beers and Board Games Club is teaming up with Four String Brewing Company for International Tabletop Day 2016!
Our Tabletop Day event will place at Four String Brewing Company’s west side production brewery on Hague Avenue. As part of our club’s fundraising efforts for Nationwide Children’s Hospital through Extra Life, a portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the hospital: Four String is donating $1 from every pint sold, the Ajumama food truck is donating 10% of food sales, and Beers & Board Games will donate 100% of raffle ticket sales.
The event will feature dozens of games from Beers & Board Games member’s personal collections, including popular titles like Settlers of Catan, Cosmic Encounters, Pandemic, Zombicide and Citadels. The Beers & Board Games Club of Columbus, founded in 2013, currently has over 600 members and hosts weekly meetups in the back room of Smokehouse Brewing Company.
International Tabletop Day was founded three years ago by culture website Geek and Sundry, whose video podcast “Tabletop”, hosted by actor Wil Wheaton, has reached millions. Last year over 120 people attended Beers & Board Games Club’s Tabletop Day event, which was held at Zauber Brewing.
The Beers and Board Games Extra Life event will take place Saturday, April 30 from 3-8pm at Four String Brewing Company’s production brewery, located at 660 N Hague Ave. The event is free to attend and open to anyone over age 21. RSVP on Facebook!
