Sideswipe Taproom

Sideswipe Brewing is expanding its production and taproom, taking over the adjacent space and doubling their footprint to 3,000 square feet.

“Even though our location is off the beaten path, we have always wanted people to enjoy their time in the taproom,” said Craig O’Herron, owner of Swipewipe Brewing. “The added space, with more seating and new games — darts, foosball and maybe a pinball table — will hopefully make people feel even more right at home in our brewery.”

The current Sideswipe space will be used for new brewing equipment, allowing Sideswipe to double their production volume, though the new equipment will not arrive for a few more months. The added space will be turned into the brewery’s new taproom, with a launch party to be held May 14 during Columbus Craft Beer Week.

“The additional space will also give us room to have more fun and interesting events at the taproom,” said O’Herron.

The Sideswipe taproom is currently open Thursday 5-9pm, Friday and Saturday 5-10pm, and Sunday 12-5pm. Sideswipe expects to add additional hours if the expanded taproom continues to draw in customers.

Sideswipe Brewing is located just south of Grandview at 2419 Scioto Harper Drive.
