At the Battle of Puebla, the Mexican army beat the French. And to that, we drink.
This Thursday, there’s plenty of places in Columbus to celebrate Cinco de Mayo like it’s 1862.

Cazuelas Grill (2247 N. High St.)
11am-4am. $3 tequila shots and domestics. $4 Coronas. $16 lime margarita pitchers. $17 flavored margarita pitchers. More info.

Mad Mex (1542 N. High St.)
9am-2am. The fiesta starts early at Mad Mex with breakfast burritos and “eggchiladas.” Drink specials include $5 22oz Dos Equis drafts and a dollar off all Mexican bottles and cans.

Nada (220 W. Nationwide Blvd.)
11am-9:30pm. Nada is boasting $20 botellas, $5 Nadaritas and $3 Mexican beers. Soak up all the liquid festivities with $10 loaded nachos and the rest of Nada’s menu. More info.

Pigskin Brewing Company (81 Mill St., Suite 150)
3pm-10pm. Pigskin will be hosting a special Cinco de Mayo themed Flatbread Thursday. Fajita flatbreads, choice of chicken or steak, will be served all day along with $5 Gose-ritas, margaritas mixed with their “Gose All the Way” gose. More info.

Union Cafe (782 N. High St.)
11am-2am. Drink specials throughout the day — including $5 jumbo margaritas, $6 El Jimador, and $7 Patron margaritas — topped off with a Cinco-themed show at 11pm hosted by Nina West. More info.

101 Beer Kitchen (7509 Sawmill Rd.) will also be hosting a special Cinco de Mayo themed pairing dinner on May 10. A $65 ticket gets you five courses of “traditional, takes-on & inspired” Mexican dishes paired with specialty cocktails and beers. Tickets can be purchased here.

But those aren’t the only places you can raise a margarita or taco in honor of Mexico’s historic defeat over the silly French. Check out these other Mexican places around Columbus and their specific locations for specials:

I missed out this year for Cinco but I have been to most of the places you have listed. Do you know of any word of the new brewery that is going to be in Canal Winchester? Can’t remember the name but it is supposed to be a big one.

Yeah, it’s BrewDog. If you use the search bar on the right side of our site and enter “BrewDog” you’ll find a ton of info.
