Homestead Wing Wars

Last year’s inaugural “Wing Wars” event at the Homestead Beer Co was a huge success with a sold-out crowd of happy revelers, so Homestead owners Adam Rhodes and Kevin Atkinson are bringing it back again this year. “Wing Wars II” will be held at the brewery in Heath on Sunday, August 21 starting at 5pm. The entire brewery, taproom and grounds will be shut down for normal business and dedicated to the event.

This year, eight food trucks will be on-site fighting for your vote for the coveted Wing Wars trophy that goes to the best chicken wings in the county. This year’s competitors will include Barrel & Boar, Dashing Diner, Fowl Mood, Lynette’s BBQ, Mai Chau, Moe’s Original BBQ, Philly Buster and Smitty’s Real Pit BBQ.

Only 200 tickets will be sold, and should sell out well before the event. Your $30 ticket includes 16 Chicken Wings, 3 pints of Homestead beer, a commemorative pint glass and a vote for Grand Champion. Tickets are only available at the Homestead taproom located at 811 Irving Wick Drive in Heath on the grounds of the old Newark Air Force Base, so make the journey soon to Heath for a beer and a Wing Wars ticket… while they’re still available!

Homestead Beer Co is located at 811 Irving Wick Drive West in Heath.
