Salty Carmel and Apple Infused Whiskey
Summer is waning, and it’s going to start getting cold soon. No one wants this change, but you can console yourself is with apple picking and boozy beverages. And all good Columbus residents know that Salty Caramel is the best Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream flavor, right? So when you combine apples, Salty Caramel and OYO Whiskey, magic happens.

Impress all your friends with this easy whiskey treat by drinking it on the rocks or dishing it up over ice cream. I made the salty caramel sauce from the Jeni’s cookbook recipe, but you can purchase a pre-made jar at Celebrate Local or Jeni’s scoop shops around town if you don’t want to deal with the hassle.

Ingredients:
2 cups Middle West Spirits Whiskey
2 diced apples, your favorite variety
4 tablespoons Jeni’s Salty Caramel Sauce

Apple Infused Whiskey

Combine all ingredients in a large mason jar. Shake well to incorporate caramel. Let the jar sit in the fridge for three days, shaking it once a day to keep the flavors mixed together. Put the whiskey concoction through a strainer to separate the liquid from the apples. Return the whiskey to the jar and store in the fridge until ready for use. Shake the jar again just before serving to ensure the caramel is well-incorporated. Enjoy!
