The Daily Growler Upper Arlington is celebrating their four-year anniversary with a four-day long festival featuring a packed lineup of barrel-aged, infused and rare brews on tap.

“I can’t believe it’s been four years since we opened, as the first growler bar in the state of Ohio,” said owner John Blakely.

The anniversary festival will include four days of special tappings at the bar, with a rotating lineup of food trucks serving outside each day.

“We’ve bought a lot of beer and made a lot of friends over the past four years, which is probably why we’ve been able to put together one of the best multi day tap lists I’ve seen,” said Blakely. “Good is boring — we’re going for epic.”

Day one (12/15) will feature a Rhinegeist Tap Invasion (Juicy Truth Grapefruit Infused IPA, Barrel Aged Druncle Imperial English Mild, Truth IPA, Mosaic Pale Ale, Cowboy Thursday Kolsch, 100 Schilling Scotch Ale collaboration with Sun King, EXP Double IPA #008, Ink Imperial Stout) and the OH! Burger Food Truck.

Day two (12/16) will offer up a selection of barrel-aged beers (Dayton Midnight Dream Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout with Raspberries, Barley’s Bourbon Meyer Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout, Warped Wing Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, New Holland Rum Barrel Aged Coconut Dragon’s Milk, Elevator Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Warmer) and infusions (Wolf’s Ridge Double Espresso Canis Mexicanus Imperial Mexican Stout, Kindred Cranberry Mint Berlinerweiss, Barley’s Vanilla, Oak, & Citra Infused Christmas Ale, Buckeye Lake S’mores Porter, Platform Blackberry Speed Merchant IPA) plus the Tortilla Street Food Truck.

Day three (12/17) will have even more barrel-aged beers (Land-Grant Rum Barrel Aged Beard Crumbs, Uinta Port-O-Call Port Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Strong, Oskar Blues Bourbon Barrel Aged Ten Fidy, Avery Tweak Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Coffee Stout, Stone Locoveza BBA and Soured Xocoveza Imperial Mexican Stout, Founder’s Backwoods Bastard Bourbon Barrel Aged Scotch Ale) and infusions (Jackie O’s Joe Mama coffee infused Mystic Mama, Hoof Hearted Hot Probz Pale infused w/ Five Alive, North High Spicy Ginger Pale Ale, Homestead Peppermint Mocha Bison Imperial Porter, Lineage Grapefruit Brunch IPA, Seventh Son Salted Caramel Imperial Stout) along with the Schmidt’s Sausage Truck. Since this is the actual anniversary date, there will also be a champagne toast at 8pm.

Day 4 (12/18) is full of 3 Floyds (Zombie Dust, Red Death Foeder Aged Cherry Berliner & Grand Cru Blend, Alpha Klaus Christmas Porter, Gumball Head, Dreadnaught Imperial IPA, Wig Splitter Oatmeal Coffee Stout, Spacestation Middle Finger, Yum Yum Session IPA) with the Kenny’s Meat Wagon serving.

Admission to the festivities is free, but VIP tickets to the four-day festival — which include samples of all 38 specially tapped beers, early access to the event, a food truck meal voucher for each day, a pour of Dom Perignon for the champagne toast, and discounts on merch, growler fills, pints and pours throughout the event — are available online for $215. Only 50 VIP tickets are available.

The Daily Growler Anniversary Festival will take place Thursday, December 15 through Sunday, December 18 at The Daily Growler, located at 2812 Fishinger Road in Upper Arlington.
