New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat is heading to Columbus next month.
The traveling philanthropic beer, music and bike festival will stop in Columbus on July 1, the first time the event has visited Columbus in its 18 year run. The event will feature indie pop band Smallpools as well as a touring ensemble of artists, cirque performers, and “general mayhemists,” and costumes are highly encouraged. There will of course also be plenty of New Belgium beer including Fat Tire, Voodoo Ranger IPA, Citradelic Tangerine IPA and an advance preview of the coming-soon Fat Tire Belgian White Ale.
Tickets are $25 and available online, with proceeds benefitting Transit Columbus. New Belgium hopes to generate more than $600,000 in support of local causes throughout this summer’s 33-stop tour.
Tour de Fat Columbus will take place Saturday, July 1 from 4-9pm at Express Live.
