Sideswipe Brewing and Mojoflo have teamed up for a special beer bearing the band’s name.
“We went with a hoppy amber ale because much like Mojoflo, this beer is smooth with just the right amount of kick,” said Sideswipe owner/operator Craig O’Herron in a statement.
The style choice is also a nod, if unintentionally, to Mojoflo’s frontwoman, Amber Knicole.
The relationship between the band and brewery developed as a result of Mojoflo practicing in the same warehouse complex that houses the brewery.
An official release party for Mojoflo hoppy amber ale will be held on Friday, June 30, at World of Beer Gateway. Sideswipe will also host a special tapping party on Saturday. July 1 at their taproom at which Mojoflo will perform twice, with a short performance at 3:30 followed by a full set at 7pm. A food truck will be on site for the event.
