It’s WWIII!
No, despite the craziness in Washington these days, it’s not World War III— it’s Wing War III! Once again, the crème-de-la-crème of Licking County wing purveyors will compete for the coveted Homestead Beer Company Wing War Champion trophy.
The third annual Event will take place at the Homestead brewery on Sunday, August 13th from 5-10pm. Last year’s champion, Moe’s Original Bar B Que, will return to defend their title. Taking them on will be Mai Chau, the 2015 winner, along with Aromaku, Hogg Head’s Blue Smoke Barbeque, Dashing Dinner and Philly Buster. The odds in Las Vegas are changing constantly as the bets pour in. But there is no doubt that the competition will be furious. For the lucky 200 people that manage to snare a ticket to this event, they will be rewarded with three wings from each contender, along with a souvenir pint glass, three pints of Homestead beers and one vote to cast for their favorite.
Tickets are $30 and are only available at the brewery. Co-owner Adam Rhodes has indicated that only 50 or so tickets remain, so hurry to Homestead to snag a spot.
Homestead is located at 811 Irving Wick Dr W in Heath.
