Jeni’s Ice Creams and Land-Grant Brewing Company are partnering up for a day of beer, ice cream and tunes.

Jeni’s worked with Land-Grant to brew Elixir, a hibiscus-infused pale ale that pours a vibrant pink and is said to pair perfectly with strawberries.

The beer will be released at Jeni’s Strawberry Jam, an annual celebration of Ohio strawberry season which will take place this year at Land-Grant on June 2. In addition to the beer release, the event will feature Jeni’s Strawberry Buttermilk ice cream, strawberry desserts from Dough Mama and Fox in the Snow, and other local eats from Hot Chicken Takeover, Ray Ray’s Hog Pit and little eater. Hirsch Fruit Farm, The Tart Peach, Bacca Coffee, Rambling House Soda and Igloo Letterpress will also be part of the family-friendly festivities, and a portion of proceeds from the Strawberry Jam will benefit Besa, an organization that works to connect people to local charities that need help.

“We started Strawberry Jam as a way to honor what we do well in our city: rural and urban culture together, community and collaborations, quality and character, entrepreneurship and vision,” said Jeni Britton Bauer, founder of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, in a statement.

Music for the event will be provided by The Ramblers (1-2pm), The Emily Syring Band (2-3pm), Molly Winters (3-4pm), Maza Blaska (4-5pm), Gliders (5-6pm), DJ George Brazil (6-8pm) and Doc Robinson (8-10pm).

Jeni’s Strawberry Jam will take place Saturday, June 2 from 12-10pm at Land-Grant Brewing Company, which is located at 424 W Town Street.
