The Ohio On Tap app is adding new rewards to entice users to visit Ohio craft breweries.

The Ohio Craft Brewers Association (OCBA) released the Ohio On Tap app in May 2017. The app, which includes resources for finding breweries and events, includes a passport program similar to the Columbus Ale Trail which rewards visits to local breweries with free swag. For the first 14 months the app was live, users could earn rewards for visiting 25, 50, 100 and all breweries listed in the app.

On July 16, OCBA will roll out a new set of passport rewards, including a new prize level for visiting ten breweries. OCBA estimates that over 2,000 Ohio On Tap users will visit at least ten breweries over the course of the next year. OCBA has also decided to award users who collect 150 stamps the current prize for visiting all participating breweries, which is an an OCBA Enthusiast membership package. There will continue to be a prize for completing the entire passport, which currently consists of 180 breweries; those who collect all passport stamps will receive a personalized plaque, a set of limited edition T-shirts from OCBA events, and recognition on the ohiocraftbeer.org website.
