Mall food courts are usually known for bad pizza and giant pretzels but you’ll be able to add “beer” to that list when The Daily Growler opens its fourth location inside Polaris Fashion Place.
The new Daily Growler is slated to open by the end of the year in the food hall at Polaris Fashion Place, which is located near Dick’s Sporting Goods and Field & Stream on the town center’s upper level. The Daily Growler is working with Columbus-based architect Mark Ours of Mode Architects to design the bar, the buildout of which is set to start before the end of October.
“We had long thought a food court setting would be a great location for The Daily Growler, but it never seemed plausible for a small, family business – until now,” said John W. Blakely, co-owner of The Daily Growler, in a statement. We were thrilled when Washington Prime Group reached out to us, and we believe their goal to partner with smaller, local businesses is a huge differentiator for Polaris Fashion Place.”
The Daily Growler will be brewing a collaboration beer with Hoof Hearted Brewing to commemorate the opening of the Polaris location. The beer, called Mall Rāz, will be a raspberry ale that will only be available at The Daily Growler and Hoof Hearted.
The Daily Growler opened its first craft beer bar in 2012 in Upper Arlington, adding a Powell location in 2014 and Brewery District bar in 2017. Blakely hopes to have this new location open for the busy holiday shopping season.

So does this mean that I will be able to buy a beer and walk around the mall waiting on the wife? Or will the beer only be allowed in the food court?
Just what we need! Drunk people staggering around the mall☹️
