Columbus Brew Adventures continues to keep pace with trends in the Columbus craft beer scene with their newest beer tour focusing on the emergence of sour and wild beers.
The sour style is certainly not new — in fact, it builds upon how beer was historically brewed for thousands of years. Even so, sours have definitely seen a resurgence across the country in recent years.
Three breweries will be included in the new Columbus Brew Adventures tour: Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, Pretentious Barrel House and Antiques on High, the latter two of which focus almost exclusively on sour beers. Whether you’re a converted fan or a skeptic of sour and wild beers, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the style.
The inaugural Wild and Sour Brewery tour will take place Saturday, February 23 starting at 3:30pm and lasting approximately four hours. The cost is $60 and includes beer samples, education and transportation. Currently only four spots remain on the first tour — you can reserve yours on the Columbus Brew Adventures website. Columbus Brew Adventures tentatively plans to offer the tour monthly; check their website for future dates.
