The Homestead Beer Company, located on the former Newark Air Force Base campus, will celebrate six years of beers this Saturday, February 16.

The event will feature a special anniversary bottle release of the 10.6% ABV Phantom Cowboy BBA Milk Stout. Co-Owner Kevin Atkinson waxes poetic in his description of this special Imperial Stout: “Fresh off the dustiest of drives, Phantom Cowboy moseys into your saloon and bellies up to the bar with dark and tall tales from the underworld. This brew tastes roasted and creamy with notes of caramel, chocolate, and coffee, plus warm hints of bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace distilleries. The tail end has the sweetest kiss of lactose sugar, one last memory before he’s off to hit the trail.”

The bash kicks off at noon with Fetty’s Street Food’s truck serving outside and a line-up of yummy desserts created specially for the event by Juli available inside. Wash down the food with the debut of another new Homestead release, Wandering Yeti Hazy IPA. Trivia by Tim starts at 6pm, and live music kicks off at 7pm with the line-up including Hunter Lepi, Hope Dealers and Brave the Sea.

Homestead Beer Company is located at 811 Irving Wick Drive in Heath.
