Clintonville’s favorite (and only) brewery, Lineage Brewing, will celebrate its fourth anniversary on Saturday, April 27.

Co-owner and Head Brewer Mike Byrne decided to build the theme of the party around his favorite aunt: Aunt Bernice Berliner Weisse. Nearly two dozen variations of Aunt Bernice have popped up on the beer board at the brewery over the past four years.

To mark the four year anniversary, Lineage will offer about half a dozen different Aunt Bernice Berliner Weisse variants on tap. There will also be an Aunt Bernice costume contest. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Aunt Bernice beer (i.e. Weekend at Bernice’s, Bleute Bernice, Tango and Bernice) for a shot at one of the many contest prizes. Judging will take place between 3-4pm, which is also when the birthday cake will be cut.

As part of the celebration, Lineage will also offer four special beer flights including the “Happy Birthday Aunt Bernice” flight, a “Hoppy Birthday IPA” flight, the “Aged Gracefully Barrel” flight, and even a “Stuffed Mini Hand Pie” flight. Several other rare and favorite Lineage beers will also be featured at the anniversary event which will kick off at 11am on Saturday, April 27 until the taproom closes at 1am. Lineage is located at 2971 N. High Street.
