Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and Land-Grant Brewing are once again teaming up for the Strawberry Jam, taking place this year on May 26 at the Franklinton brewery.
The fourth annual Jeni’s Strawberry Jam (the second hosted at Land-Grant) is a picnic-style party in celebration of the yearly release of Jeni’s Strawberry Buttermilk ice cream and the arrival of Ohio Strawberry season. The event will feature tasty food, craft beer, live tunes and plenty of strawberries.
In honor of the occasion, Jeni’s and Land-Grant collaborated on Splendid Berry Brut, a berry-infused effervescent Brut ale brewed with strawberry-forward hops and a fresh berry infusion. Splendid Berry Brut will be available at the Land-Grant taproom on Sunday, May 19 and at retailers across Central Ohio the following week retailing for $11.99 per six pack.
“Splendid is the beer you want to be drinking when summer temps arrive,” said Jeni’s founder Jeni Britton Bauer in a statement. “It’s refreshing, cooling—just lovely, really. And it’s bright pink, capturing the spirit of Strawberry Jam.”
Local acts Doc Robinson, Hebdo, Waves de Aché, Razzamatazz & Jazz, and School of Rock will jam at this year’s Jam.
The Strawberry Jam will take place from noon until 10pm on Sunday, May 26 at Land-Grant, which is located at 24 W. Town Street in Franklinton.
