Finish off your Black Friday shopping with a beer at the new Forbidden Root brewpub, which opens today at Easton Town Center.
The botanical-inspired brewery, which opened its first location in Chicago in 2016, is led by Founder/Rootmaster Robert Finkel and Alchemist (and acclaimed beer writer) Randy Mosher. Former Four String head brewer Nick Gabriel will be manning the Columbus brewing operation with Chef Paul Yow, formerly of Barcelona and Biscuit & Branch, leading the kitchen.
Among the dozen beers on tap for the opening are Snoochie Boochies Double IPA, Sparkling Rose Ale, Hoodie Weather Vienna-Style Lager, Small Talk New England IPA, Saison, Strawberry Basil Hefeweizen, and a cranberry blonde ale brewed in collaboration with Wolf’s Ridge Brewing called Forbidden Wolf.
The two-story, 12,000-square foot restaurant and brewery is part of the new $500 million development project at Easton Town Center’s north end.
The brewery opens today at 4pm. Initial hours will be 4pm-11:30pm daily. Forbidden Root is located at 4080 Worth Ave at Easton Town Center.
