Endeavor Brewing recently announced plans to add a distillery to their Grandview-area brewery.
Endeavor will be the first combined brewery and distillery in Central Ohio. Other craft breweries such as DogFish Head, New Holland and Rogue have already tapped this emerging trend. BrewDog also has shared plans to start distilling at their Canal Winchester production brewery — the Scottish-owned brewery already operates a distillery out of their UK facilities.
The newly combined Endeavor Brewing and Spirits plans to release vodka, white rum, and two gin varietals in early 2020. Endeavor will also release aged spirits, including several varieties of whisky, in the future.
According to a statement from the brewery, distillation has been in the plans for Endeavor since it replaced the shuttered Zauber Brewing Company in 2017.
“Adding a distillery provides unique future opportunities for collaborative items, environmentally friendly use of cooperage, and the ability to provide our community with unique quality local products,” said Scott Talmage, owner and co-founder, in a statement.
Endeavor Brewing and Spirits is located at 909 W 5th Ave.
