Athens-based brewery Jackie O’s Brewery announced today that they have acquired the Elevator Brewing Company production facility in Downtown Columbus.

Jackie O’s will take over the 5,800 square foot facility at 165 North Fourth Street which houses a 15-barrel brewhouse. The facility will be renovated and owners anticipate a grand opening next year.

Prior to that opening, Jackie O’s plans to establish a carryout storefront located next-door at 171 North Fourth Street offering to-go beer and merchandise.

“This is something we’ve been dreaming about for years,” said owner Art Oestrike in a statement. “We are excited it’s finally becoming a reality and can’t wait to bring Jackie O’s to our supportive customers in the Columbus community.”
