Combustion Brewing Sponsoring the Brokerman Beer Mile

If you love beer and love running — or if you just think it might be fun to watch others drink beer and try to run — be at Combustion this Saturday, September 25.

Participants in the Brokeman Beer Mile will chug a beer, run a ¼ mile, chug a beer, run a ¼ mile, chug a beer, run a 1/4mile, and chug a beer and run a ¼ mile. And, of course, try not to puke. Pukers get to run a fifth “Victory Lap”.

While it is definitely a fun event, the rules are serious. You must be 21, you must show an ID, and you must have a ride home. Each beer will be a full 12 ounces of Combustion’s Wanderlust Blonde Ale and the course circles the block around the brewery. Brokerman said the record for this event is an incredible 4:33 for men and 5:42 for women.

The event is limited to 60 runners, with four heats of 15 beginning at 10 AM. The cost is $45 and registration is available online.

Combustion Brewery Taproom is located in Pickerington at 80 W. Church Street.
