Can’t tell a chardonnay from a merlot?  House Wine in Worthington is ready to help!  As part of their House Wine U., they are hosting a Wine 101 course on April 19th, 2011 at 6:30PM.  This two-hour event will provide a great opportunity to sample and learn about various wines.  The menu includes sparkling, white, rose, red, and fortified wines, as well as cheese and crackers.

Every time I’ve been to House Wine, they’ve ensured that they have a welcoming, casual atmosphere. Staying in that vein, this class will be an open-discussion format, making sure that everyone is comfortable and informed! Owner Donnie Austin is a Certified Sommelier and will be running the event.

You can purchase tickets for $39 each at http://wine101.eventbrite.com.

House Wine is located at 644 High Street in old Worthington.
