Drink Up Columbus has teamed with SNAP! Performance Productions and Hubbard Grille to give someone an awesome weekend, with dinner, drinks and a murder mystery!
SNAP! will perform The Manila Envelope, a colorful intrigue of lust, loathing, betrayal and desperation – filled with songs from musical acts such as Lady Gaga, Broadway’s Wicked, Hall and Oates, Green Day, and The King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. To increase the suspense, the ending to this murder mystery won’t be revealed to the cast until the night of the show.
SNAP! is local volunteer group of singers, dancers, and actors who use their talents to raise money and awareness for Columbus charities. It started as a variety show in 2003, but over the past 4 years, it has transformed into one of the most innovative performance groups in central Ohio – where Columbus residents create, choreograph, and produce an original show from scratch each year and then perform it at venues such as The Capitol Theater, The Abbey and BalletMet. SNAP! has teamed up with an incredible local charity – Recreation Unlimited. The mission of Recreation Unlimited is to provide year-round programs in sports, recreation and education for individuals with disabilities and health concerns, while building self-confidence, self-esteem and promoting positive human relations, attitudes, and behaviors.
The show will take place at the Lincoln Theatre May 5-7 at 8pm, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.
DRINK UP COLUMBUS PRIZE PACK:
Two tickets to the show, two drink tickets for intermission (we couldn’t leave you dry!) and a $75 gift card to Hubbard Grille to be used before the performance. Hubbard Grille is a casual dining, social place in the Short North, featuring a modern American menu in a comfortable, sophisticated atmosphere. Why I love Drink Up Columbus, is because it gives me updates and insights to what events are going on to with an excuse to enjoy a spirit and socialize. I like to think of it as the Rihanna’s song Cheers I’ll drink to that.
