Drink Up Columbus is partnering with Cbusr to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Cbusr.com and the first International #IPADay. One night, two great reasons to party!
You may be familiar with Cbusr, the Central Ohio social network encouraging real-life interactions to build a stronger social community that spends more time living and doing. The site has quickly become a key player in building friendships and business relationships in Columbus. And since most of the Cbusr meetups happen over a pint, why not team up with Drink Up Columbus and celebrate IPA Day?
From the IPA Day announcement:
International #IPADay is a grassroots movement to unite the voices of craft beer enthusiasts, bloggers and brewers worldwide through social media. On Thursday August 4th, craft beer drinkers across the social sphere and across the globe will raise pints in a collective toast to one of craft beer’s most iconic styles: the India Pale Ale. This celebrated style represents the pinnacle of brewing innovation with its broad spectrum of diverse brands, subcategories, and regional flavor variations – making it the perfect style to galvanize craft beer’s social voice.
Join us at Woodland’s Tavern from 6-9pm on Thursday, August 4th to celebrate Cbusr! And in honor of IPA Day, all of Woodland’s IPA drafts – including Great Lakes Lake Eerie Monster, Elevator IPA, Stone IPA, Founder’s Centennial IPA and Bell’s Two Hearted Ale – will be $3 all night. (All 18 drafts are only $2 til 8pm)

Given this is a university town I’m surprised (and gratified) that the crypto-imperialistic endorsement of mercantilism embodied by the IPA has gone unnoticed. ☺
I personally think COTA should run a night bus past Woodland Tavern…
Yay beer!
Last time I drank a bunch of IPAs at Woodlands, I won a medal! Perhaps I should wear it tonight…
that medal story was awesome. i wish you had worn it out 🙂
