Independent’s Day September 17

No, we’re not talking fireworks or red, white and blue. Saturday, September 17th is Independent’s Day – a collaborative effort from Columbus’ independents to bring together a day-long explosion of creative spirit.

Over 150 Columbus artists, organizations, restaurants and small businesses will line Gay Street, Lynn Alley, and Pearl Alley in the 4th annual celebration of the Columbus community.

Even the beer is crafty at Independent’s Day! The designated craft beer booth will be serving up local Neil House Brewery’s Cranberry Cider, Ohio-based brewery Rivertown’s Hop Bomber, Magic Hat #9, Harpoon Oktoberfest and UFO Hefeweizen, in addition to a couple hipster-staple PBR booths. Nearby bars and restaurants will also be offering drink specials during the festival, including $3 Ohio beers at Tip Top Kitchen and Cocktails.

Independent’s Day takes place at Gay Street and Pearl Alley in Downtown Columbus from 12pm-12am.
