Apple Pie Takeover at Brothers Drake

apple pie meadBrothers Drake Meadery will release the 2014 batch of bottles of fan-favorite Apple Pie Mead at a free event this Saturday, October 4 featuring donuts, coffee and live music.

Destination Donuts and Cafe Brioso will provide the morning snacks for those who want to be first in line to pick up a bottle of liquid Apple Pie gold, which the meadery will release beginning at 11am. Brothers Drake’s Apple Pie Mead is made with fresh pressed apple cider from Hugus Farms in Rushville, Ohio.

Brothers Drake will offer a mead making demonstration at noon and meadery tours at 1pm and 2pm. The event will include a silent auction to benefit Music Loves Ohio, which provides funding and opportunities for underserved youth to preserve their passion for music. Angela Perley and her band the Howlin’ Moons will play with Andrew Leahey & the Homestead at 10pm.

The event is free during the day, with a $5 cover after 9pm.
