Looking to avoid the green beer and Guinness but still get your weekday drink on for St. Patrick’s Day? Here’s which local breweries will be serving up specials in the name of the Irish on March 17.
Barley’s Brewing Company: Barley’s is brewing a special beer for the holiday, the Ulysses Imperial Red Ale. They’ll also have corned beef and cabbage for munching.
Buckeye Lake Brewery: Head to Buckeye Lake Brewery wearing green to receive $1 off pints from 4-9pm, including a cask Imperial Irish Red Ale that will be tapped at the start of the night. Grab a Buckeye Lake Brewery St. Patrick’s Day shirt and pint glass for $12 while you’re at it.
Homestead Beer Co: Homestead brewing will be releasing their collaboration beer with Pies and Pints, the White Elephant Irish Red. The beer will be available on St. Patty’s Day exclusively at Homestead Beer Co. and Pies and Pints.
Land Grant Brewing: Land Grant will be running a “keep the glass” special with limited edition Land Grant pint glasses. $7 Greenskeeper Session IPA or $1 off standard Greenskeeper Session IPA (i.e. sans the glass).
North High Brewing: North High will be welcoming an irish stout to their taproom on Tuesday and, by popular demand, Irish car bombs made with their Milk Stout.
Smokehouse Brewing Co: Smokehouse is tapping the Red Molly Ale in a tribute to the redheads and the spirit of green everywhere. Smoked corn beef and cabbage, shamrock balls, and $5 Irish car bombs are also on the menu.
Staas Brewing Company: Staas brewing is participating in a pub crawl throughout downtown Delaware on Saturday, March 14 from 3 PM to 9 PM. Additionally, they will be tapping a cask of Irish Red Ale and Vanilla Porter.
Wolf’s Ridge Brewing: Wolf’s Ridge tap room will be opening at 11am on St. Patrick’s Day, with lunch and happy hour pricing in the taproom all day. Lunch specials include corned beef reubens and Irish coffee with house-made cream liqueur.
Zauber Brewing: Zauber brewing will be tipping their hats to the Irish will an all day happy hour: $3.50 pints or – if you prefer to go the big ass mug route – $7 liters.
