Celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Columbus

Columbus had a lot to celebrate, i.e. drink, this weekend between the start of Columbus Craft Beer Week, the Kentucky derby, that one boxing match and some beautiful outdoor drinking weather. Now it’s time to hydrate as the party continues into the work week with Cinco de Mayo on Tuesday. If your calendar is still open, here are a few party options taking place this Tuesday, May 5:

Adobe Gilas
11am-2am. Adobe Gilas will be celebrating their annual Cinco De Mayo party with $10 Mug-o-ritas, $3 Bud Light drafts and other tropical refreshments. More Info.

Bar 145
6pm-10pm. The team from North High Brewing will be celebrating Cico de Mayo at Bar 145 with Hefeweizen Margaritas and beer battered fish tacos. More Info.

Bob’s Bar
6pm-12am. Bob’s Bar is also double dipping between Columbus Craft Beer Week and Cinco de Mayo. Their Columbus Brewing tap takeover is stated to be the largest CBC tap takeover to date, including a Cindo de Mayo special cask with lots of lime zest, Meyer lemon peel and fresh jalapeno. More info.

Caribbean Jerks
11am-1am. Caribbean Jerks has been celebrating all weekend. They’ve filled the entire bar with sand for that authentic fiesta feel and will have live music Sunday through Tuesday. More Info

La Fogata, Short North
11am-12am. Salsa Columbus is throwing down big at La Fogata in the Short North. The party started on Friday with daily drink specials and music. Tuesday will feature live music, DJs, give aways and drink specials. More Info.

Local Cantina – Clintonville
4pm-12am. Three limited release Four String ‘Secret Stash’ hot pepper beers will be tapped, including their infamous Switchblade IPA treated with peach and habanero. More info.

Mad Mex- South Campus Gateway
9am-2am. Mad Mex is throwing their Maddest Day of the Year party starting with breakfast burritos and eggchiladas for breakfast followed by drink specials like $5 22oz Dos Equis and live music all day. More Info.

Pigskin Brewing Company
3pm-12am. Pigskin will be having a free taco bar on Tuesday along with $7 Gose-ritas, a regular margarita mixed with their “Gose All the Way” gose. More Info.

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing
4pm-12am. Wolf’s Ridge is tapping a special cask of Dire Wolf Canis Mexicanus – their imperial stout infused with chili peppers, vanilla, coffee, cinnamon and cocoa nibs. More info.
