Middle West Spirits invests over $3M in Columbus expansion

oyoMiddle West Spirits recently announced it will be expanding its Short North Production facility and opening a new 23,000-square-foot warehouse in Milo-Grogan. The Middle West team will grow from five to 25 employees as a result of this $3.1 million investment.

This expansion comes as a result of continued increase in demand for its lines of whiskey, vodka and bourbon. Over the next the next three years, Middle West will hire 25 employees for production, warehouse, sales, marketing and support to staff the new facilities and help meet increased production needs. Hiring for some of these positions may start immediately.

“Columbus and Ohio have played a tremendous role in our growth, and we’re thankful to keep growing here,” said Brady Konya, GM and co-founder, Middle West Spirits in a press release. “We’re proud of our Ohio roots and continue to invest in its future as a center of innovation for craft spirits.”

Along with this expansion, the company plans to add a full-service tasting room in it’s 1230 Cortland Ave. Short North location.

Middle West Spirits has plans to announce additional investments in the coming weeks. We reached out to Brady Kona, GM and co-founder of Middle West Spirits and are awaiting a response.
