World of Beer Intern Interviews

Want to get paid to travel around and drink beer? Of course you do. World of Beer is hiring a few “Drink It INterns” and World of Beer on campus is hosting a casting call for candidates this Saturday. I’ll be one of the judges for the local applicants alongside Four String’s Dan Cochran, World of Beer’s Brian McGlothlin and Dispatch beer reviewer Michael Paull.

Four String Space Ritual Release

This Saturday Four String Brewing is releasing a beer tribute to English rocker Lemmy called Space Ritual, a Belgian Rye Pale Ale. The name Space Ritual is a reference to Hawkwind, the band Lemmy was in before Motörhead. Space Ritual will be available at Four String’s 6th Avenue taproom in Grandview starting at noon.

Crafts & Drafts

The organizers of Made Local Marketplace are kicking off Drafts & Crafts, a new pop-up shopping event at a different Columbus brewery each month. Each event will feature 6-10 local artists, crafters and other vendors, and the first event will take place this Saturday at Zauber Brewing Company.

Arch City Anniversary

Short North gastropub Arch City Tavern is celebrating three years of operation with half-off all food and drafts, all day long. A local DJ will be spinning at the event later in the evening.

Land-Grant Glory Launch

The Crew brew Glory is hitting the taps at Land-Grant’s Franklinton brewery. Glory is a hoppy American Wheat Ale brewed with Citra hops. The launch event is also the official Columbus Crew SC watch party for the opening match against Portland.
