Easter Brunch in Columbus

MimosasAfter finding all the hidden eggs from a mythological bunny (and chomping the head off of a chocolate one), indulge in brunch offerings fit for a king. Here are a few local Easter brunches that still have open spots, in case you’ve been procrastinating on reservations.

Buckeye Lake Winery will be hosting their Easter Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu includes favorites such as prime rib and eggs benedict. Brunch is $30 for adults, $15 for children ages 4-12.

Mitchell’s Ocean Club in Easton will be opening early at 11 a.m. Their special brunch menu starts strong with blood orange mimosas and offers decadent dishes such as Crab and Eggs and Braised Short Rib, also topped with a poached egg.

Latitude 41 at the Columbus Renaissance Hotel will offer brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Their menu ranges from the light — such as a five grain salad with dried fruits, nuts and tossed in a creamy lemon vinaigrette — to the decadent, Benton’s bacon mac and cheese. Their carving station includes classic honey glazed ham and hangar steaks.

The Boat House, located at the confluence of the Olentangy and Scioto Rivers, has their brunch buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and all guests are welcomed with champagne. On the menu are oceanic delights such as snow crab clusters, raw oysters, smoked mussels and lobster pot pie. Easter standbys including spiral ham and rack of lamb are offered as well. The buffet is $40.95 for adults and $20.95 for children

Cameron’s American Bistro’s buffet will include Eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, made-to-order omelets, Cameron’s Lake Erie Walleye and braised beef short ribs. The buffet will be available from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., $29.99 for adults and $14.99 for children 12 and under.

Kraft House No. 5 will open at 10 a.m. on Sunday and their special brunch menu includes sweet strawberry beignets with caramel crème anglaise, savory short rib hash and several delectable options in between. To wash it all down, Kraft House is serving up a pink and bubbly Easter Pisco Punch with Pisco Porton, passion fruit, pomegranate, lemon and prosecco.

Spagio’s special Easter brunch offerings include crab skillet benedict, stuffed croissant french toast and Eggs à La Maison, all under $20. But don’t forget their Grand Mimosas and Absolut Bloody Marys.

J. Gilbert’s will be serving their regular menu Easter Sunday, but with the addition of an Easter Prix-Fixe menu which includes a salad or crab bisque, entrees such as New Zealand lamb rack or petite filet with scallops or crab cakes, and a dessert such as vanilla bean creme brulee or berries and cream.
