451 Spirits will begin offering regular tours and tastings at their Clintonville distillery beginning in June.
“With such a crowded market and overabundance of ‘fake craft spirits,’ we’ve found it difficult to gain traction without the ability to taste and be educated firsthand on the nature of our esoteric spirits,” said Chief Distiller Chad Kessler in a statement.
The distillery will start offering tours on June 1, with tours offered every Thursday and Friday at 7pm; and Saturdays at 2pm and 5pm. Drop-in hours for tours, tastings and bottle sales will also be available when Kessler is on site.
Tours, which include samples of 451 Spirits products, can be scheduled online for $10. Tours are limited to 15 people.
In addition to launching tours and tastings, 451 plans to double their spirit portfolio this summer with the release of Bone Shaker, a stout-inspired whiskey; Pipe Dream, an aged rum; and Clawfoot, a new gin. 451 Spirits currently produces Dear Johnny, an apple flavored whiskey; Writer’s Block; a mint lime rum; and Midsommers Night, an absinthe.
