First bottles from Echo Spirits headed to store shelves

The first shipment of spirits from Grandview area distillery Echo Spirits is headed to state liquor control this week and expected to be on store shelves by early December.

The first product out of the new Echo Spirits Distilling Co is Rum, which co-owner Joe Bidinger describes as “a rum with a lot of flavor… We’re excited to show people what rum can be.”

Echo was founded by Bidinger and longtime friend Nikhil Sharoff. After a few years of searching for a suitable location, Echo took over the former Four String Brewing Grandview area taproom late last year. Buildout on the taproom is still underway but Bidinger hopes to have the bar open by the end of January and says the next product to look for from the distillery will be genever, a dutch spirit akin to gin.

This weekend, Echo will be opening the doors to their gift shop from 4-9pm on Small Business Saturday. They will have a limited number of bottles available for purchase, and every bottle sold comes with a pass for a future free tour.

Echo Spirits is located at 985 W Sixth Ave.
